Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a dedicated plant operator to safely and efficiently run the crushing plant to meet production goals.

The role requires performing manual labor at the conveyor, assisting with equipment maintenance, and reporting operation and safety issues to the Production Lead. You will document daily production data and participate in safety meetings, using the required PPE.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods at conveyor belt operation.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently runs crushing plant to meet budgeted production goals.
• Performs lifting, pulling, carrying and other manual labor tasks to operate equipment to crush concrete at site.
• Assists in equipment maintenance tasks and reports operation and safety problems to Production Lead/Foreman.
• Produces reports of the previous day’s plant production data and downtime.
• Participates in safety meetings as scheduled.

Job description

• Safely and efficiently runs crushing plant to meet budgeted production goals
• Performs lifting, pulling, carrying and other manual labor tasks to operate equipment designed to crush concrete at site
• Assists in equipment maintenance tasks, reports equipment operation and safety problems to Production Lead/Foreman
• Ensures routine maintenance and inspection is performed on a daily basis and ensures safety and maintenance logs are accurately performed and up to date
• Produces reports of the previous business day’s plant production data and downtime
• Participates in safety meetings as scheduled
• Wears appropriate PPE at all times
• Recommends possible changes in operation to Production Lead/Foreman for improved productivity
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time at conveyor belt operation.
• Ability to climb heights of 40 feet on a regular basis
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work in dusty, loud noise environment
• Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves and various other similar items as required.
