Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor to own the day-to-day plant performance, driving throughput, quality, and profitability. You will lead safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate maintenance, and supervise plant personnel while collaborating with area management, sales, and dispatch to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aggregate recycling operations or other process/production environment.
• Experience with crushing plant equipment preferred (5+ years).

Responsibilities

• Own overall plant operations to meet throughput, quality, and profitability targets.
• Lead safety culture; conduct daily safety meetings and oversee programs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and labor regulations.
• Plan and direct daily operations; monitor KPIs; identify improvements and cost savings.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability; coordinate repairs and downtime planning.
• Supervise plant personnel; manage scheduling, attendance, and performance feedback.
• Communicate with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch on materials and trucking needs.
• Support customer and vendor relationships; ensure product availability and service.
• Maintain reporting and documentation; stay current through training and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll do:

• Own overall plant operations (production, material handling, inventory, and logistics) to meet throughput, quality, and profitability targets.
• Lead safety culture: conduct/oversee daily safety meetings, enforce ARC 100 and company safety programs, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including environmental and labor regulations.
• Plan and direct daily operations; monitor workflow and KPIs; identify and implement operational improvements and cost savings.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability: ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed, coordinate repairs and downtime planning, and verify maintenance documentation.
• Supervise, coach, and develop plant personnel; manage scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Communicate routinely with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch regarding inbound/outbound materials, quantities, trucking needs, and upcoming work.
• Support customer and vendor relationships; ensure product availability and service meet expectations.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation; stay current through training and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Experience: 3+ years in aggregate recycling operations or other process/production environment (5+ years and crushing plant equipment experience preferred)
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time at conveyor belt operation.
• Ability to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis.
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work industy, wet, and loud environment.
• Required to wear safety equipment including hardhat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs,glovesand various othersimilar itemsasrequiredor needed.
