Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking an Operations Manager to lead all aspects of plant operations, safety, and compliance in a dynamic environment. You will drive production, material handling, inventory and logistics to meet throughput and quality goals while coordinating maintenance and ensuring regulatory adherence.

The role requires 3+ years in aggregate recycling or similar production settings, with strong leadership and a hands-on approach to safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in aggregate recycling operations or related production environment.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb heights of up to 20 feet regularly.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds regularly.
  • Work in industrial, wet, and loud environment.
  • Must wear safety equipment including hardhat, safety glasses, goggles, steel-toed boots, ear plugs, gloves as required.

Responsibilities

  • Own overall plant operations (production, material handling, inventory, and logistics) to meet throughput, quality, and profitability targets.
  • Lead safety culture: conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety programs, investigate incidents, implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements including environmental and labor regulations.
  • Plan and direct daily operations; monitor workflow and KPIs; identify operational improvements and cost savings.
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability: ensure preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and downtime planning.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop plant personnel; manage scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Communicate with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch regarding inbound/outbound materials, trucking needs, and upcoming work.
  • Support customer and vendor relationships; ensure product availability and service meet expectations.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation; stay current through training and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including environmental and labor regulations.
  • Plan and direct daily operations; monitor workflow and KPIs; identify and implement operational improvements and cost savings.
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability: ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed, coordinate repairs and downtime planning, and verify maintenance documentation.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop plant personnel; manage scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Communicate routinely with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch regarding inbound/outbound materials, quantities, trucking needs, and upcoming work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years in aggregate recycling operations or other process/production environment (5+ years and crushing plant equipment experience preferred)
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time at conveyor belt operation.
  • Ability to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work industy, wet, and loud environment.
  • Required to wear safety equipment including hardhat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs,glovesand various othersimilar itemsasrequiredor needed.
