Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking a loader operator to safely operate a wheel loader at the Orlando plant, moving materials and supporting production. The role requires adherence to OSHA and Florida environmental rules, ability to work in all weather conditions, and readiness to perform maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Some experience required
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time at conveyor belt operation
• Ability to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 100 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work in dusty, loud noise environment
• Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves and various other similar items as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates wheel loader to move materials for processing, stockpiling or loading.
• Operate construction equipment safely and comply with OSHA/Florida environmental requirements.
• Communicates with field supervisor regarding assignments and instructions.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient plant environment.
• Washes equipment.
• Assists in maintenance tasks.
• Inspects yard materials for quality.
• Uses hand tools to maintain or repair equipment.
• Notifies supervisor of safety deficiencies.
• Inspects equipment and logs deficiencies.
• Assists in mobilization between sites.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job description

• Operate construction equipment with competency and caution and adhere to company safety procedures including compliance of OSHA and Florida Environmental requirements.
• Communicates on regular and continuous basis with field supervisor regarding assigned work assignments and other specific instructions.
• Performs various duties to maintain safe, organized, functional and efficient plant environment.

  • Assists in Maintenance tasks
  • Inspects materials in yard for quality production
• Uses hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledgehammer, and others as needed to accomplish daily tasks to maintain and/or repair equipment.
• Will notify supervisor of any safety deficiencies or repair needed.
• Inspect equipment and maintains written log of all equipment-related deficiencies.
• Assist in mobilization of mobile and plant equipment between sites.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
