Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. seeks a Plant Operator to support mining and aggregate production operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager and Supervisor, you will safely operate, monitor, and maintain plant processing equipment, perform daily inspections, report defects, and manage wear-item inventory at the plant site.

You will help achieve production goals and keep a clean, safe work environment while following MSHA and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Strong attention to safety, time management, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Start, monitor, and regulate crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and pumps per safety standards.
• Adjust process settings to maintain material flow and quality.
• Operate mobile equipment for loadout or cleanup tasks.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and document daily reports.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as greasing, cleaning, and belt changes.
• Identify malfunctions and safely shut down equipment during emergencies.
