SUMMARY

Responsible for the operation of the plant. Monitors and operates process control equipment, including valving and engineering systems. Interprets plant procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee plant operations according to required safety measures.
  2. Maintain records of readings for all compressors and processing equipment to ensure optimal production levels.
  3. Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment.
  4. Collaborate with contractors and vendors for all activities.
  5. Ensure plant adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  6. Program and operate the facility’s system to start up, shut down, and run production.
  7. Identify process deviations and perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  8. Conduct inspections of key process points to identify abnormalities and make necessary adjustments, notifying management as needed.
  9. Observe gauges, dials, or indicators to ensure machinery is functioning properly.
  10. Manage boilers and auxiliary equipment, maintaining safe operations and controlling power consumption.
  11. Maintain plant operation and emission data, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  12. Document work by completing shift paperwork and maintaining files.
  13. Submit all required paperwork and reports promptly.
  14. Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as necessary. Shift work is required.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School or five (5) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of industrial plant systems.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic math skills, including computing decimals and percentages.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in maintenance crafts, mechanical repair (electrical and welding), electrical troubleshooting, reading electrical drawings.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for up to 3 hours.
  • Proven ability to work well with others, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
  • Hydraulic and conveyor experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated locations.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Work is performed in a plant processing environment and is subject to mandatory medical screening as per company safety programs, consistent with business necessity.
