Job summary

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. seeks a production/operations leader to manage production, maintenance, scheduling and shipping with a strong emphasis on safety. You will enforce safety rules, ensure OSHA compliance, and guide teams toward high performance while maintaining a safe, clean plant environment.

The role involves directing multiple departments, mentoring supervisors, and driving improvements in methods and equipment, all within a non-temperature controlled facility in the Sioux Falls area.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive results, solve problems, and lead others with limited information.
• Effective collaboration with department managers to meet objectives.
• Strong verbal and written communication and mentoring skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledgeable about plant equipment and operations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in lean methods.
• Experience with project management software and data systems (Amtech, RPM, UKG HRIS).

Responsibilities

• Manage production, maintenance, scheduling and shipping with focus on safety.
• Enforce safety rules and OSHA compliance in all programs and training.
• Direct production teams to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas and documentation.
• Lead safety committee activities and staff development.
• Oversee supervisors with performance, disciplinary actions and promotions.
• Mentor managers for future responsibilities and growth.
• Work in a full-time, non-temperature regulated plant/warehouse setting.
