Job summary

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor in Indiana to lead a 20–30 person team on the floor, driving quality and on-time product movement in a manufacturing plant.

You will train staff, plan work, and maintain safe operations, while ensuring adherence to safety rules and company procedures. The role requires 2–5 years of supervision experience in manufacturing, forklift certification, and the ability to read and interpret manuals and reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years as a production supervisor or manager.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry preferred.
• Knowledge of production machines and plant equipment and processes.
• Certified forklift operator.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Directs supervision of production staff: training, planning, assigning, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining.
• Maintains efficient workflows by monitoring processes and adopting cost-reducing practices.
• Executes the production plan by prioritizing, adjusting schedules and reporting results.
• Keeps equipment running by coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance; aids troubleshooting.
• Compiles production performance data and reports; answers questions and responds to requests.
• Develops systems and procedures; aligns with budget and personnel requirements.
• Promotes a safe, clean work environment and proper equipment use; educates staff on safety protocols.
• Attends workshops and reviews professional materials to maintain technical knowledge.
• Operates forklift and assists with hands-on machine operation as needed.
• Manages inventories of sheets, inks and other supplies.
• Reports quality concerns and assists in setting quality guidelines.
• Leads weekly Production/Safety meetings with departmental teams.
• Communicates with supervisors to pre-empt shift-change issues.
• Other duties as assigned; full-time manufacturing role.
