Job summary

Actalent is seeking a plant-facing Operations Engineer in Circleville, OH, to own reliability, preventative maintenance, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement for a large Energy Recovery Unit in a heavy industrial facility. The role blends maintenance leadership, project engineering, budgeting, and contractor coordination, with onsite operations support.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field and an Ohio Boiler Operator License (or ability to obtain one) are required, along with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• Experience in manufacturing, power generation, chemical processing, utilities, or heavy industrial environments
• Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance planning, and reliability programs
• Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to coordinate contractors
• Ohio Boiler Operator License, or ability to obtain one
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other reliability improvement experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead preventative maintenance and reliability initiatives for the Energy Recovery Unit
• Coordinate projects, manage budgets, and supervise contractors
• Support environmental compliance programs, including air permitting and LDAR
• Provide technical guidance and training to operations and maintenance staff
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-efficient maintenance planning
