Actalent is seeking a plant-facing Operations Engineer in Circleville, OH, to own reliability, preventative maintenance, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement for a large Energy Recovery Unit in a heavy industrial facility. The role blends maintenance leadership, project engineering, budgeting, and contractor coordination, with onsite operations support.

• Experience in manufacturing, power generation, chemical processing, utilities, or heavy industrial environments
• Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance planning, and reliability programs
• Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to coordinate contractors
• Ohio Boiler Operator License, or ability to obtain one
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other reliability improvement experience is a plus

This is a plant-facing Operations Engineer role with responsibility for reliability, preventative maintenance, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement of the Energy Recovery Unit. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, though equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Experience working within manufacturing, power generation, chemical processing, utilities, or other heavy industrial environments is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), maintenance planning processes, and equipment reliability programs. Knowledge of boilers, steam systems, pumps, valves, rotating equipment, and other industrial process equipment is highly desirable. Experience supporting environmental compliance programs, including air permitting and leak detection and repair (LDAR) initiatives, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate contractors, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion. Familiarity with budget management, capital project execution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills and be comfortable providing technical guidance and training to operations and maintenance personnel. An Ohio Boiler Operator License, or the ability to obtain one, is required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other reliability-focused improvement initiatives is considered a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Circleville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
