Job summary

LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels LLC is seeking a Manager of Plant Operations in Soperton, GA. This role reports to the Plant Manager and leads the Operations team, focusing on safe, reliable, and compliant facility performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in chemical engineering, extensive operations leadership, and a deep understanding of process safety, distillation, and heat transfer. Excellent communication and team development are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering preferred; other technical degrees considered with process knowledge.
• 10+ years of technical experience in chemical, refining, or related industry.
• 5+ years of direct operational leadership in a 24/7 facility.
• Strong understanding of Occupational/Process Safety, environmental compliance, and maintenance practices.
• Strong knowledge of reaction chemistry, distillation, heat transfer and related operational concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in written and verbal technical communication.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Integrate into the LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels team to drive safe, efficient operations.
• Provide leadership for the Operations organization, including team selection, training, and development.
• Lead Operations to achieve best-in-class safety, process safety and environmental performance.
• Oversee Standard Operating, Emergency Response, and Process Safety procedures.
• Develop production KPIs with input from engineering and others; implement systems to ensure accountability for KPIs.
• Manage department budgets and production goals to meet or exceed plan performance.
• Oversee equipment, utilities, and infrastructure resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
