Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering preferred; other technical degrees may be considered with process knowledge.
• Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in chemical, petroleum refining/petrochemical, or related industry.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct operational leadership in a 24/7 facility.
• Solid understanding of Occupational/Process Safety, environmental compliance, and maintenance in related industries.
• Strong knowledge of process operations including reaction chemistry, distillation, and heat transfer.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations team, talent selection, training, and ongoing development to ensure safe, efficient facility operations.
• Provide leadership for the Operations organization, including team selection and continuous development.
• Oversee safety, process safety, and environmental performance; ensure SOPs and emergency procedures are followed.
• Develop and monitor production KPIs; implement systems to ensure accountability and KPI achievement.
• Manage department budgets and production goals to meet or exceed plan performance.
• Evaluate equipment, utilities, and infrastructure resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
