Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. seeks an ASU Assistant Plant Manager to oversee safe, reliable, and cost-efficient plant operations. You will lead production planning, logistics, and maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multi-disciplinary teams in a 24/7 production environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership to manage a team and mentor others.
• Knowledge of risk management, loss prevention, and asset life-cycle programs.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical and critical thinking to identify problems and implement solutions.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks/projects.

Responsibilities

• On-Call duties to cover vacations, illness and other absences.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure proactive hazard identification and corrective action.
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas.
• Daily production planning, logistics coordination, and plant efficiency.
• Schedule resources, manage performance, and coordinate with contractors and ROC personnel.
• Maintain maintenance records in MAPS and oversee procurement activities.
• Calibrate and maintain process analyzers and records.
• Assist startups/shutdowns safely per business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and costs.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support SIP and TRW optimization projects.
• Perform other responsibilities and departmental projects as assigned.
