Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Plant Manager to direct all Operations and Maintenance activities at the plant in Victorville, CA. The role ensures safe and efficient operation, adequate manpower and resources, and compliance with safety, environmental, and power generation requirements.

You will oversee outages, implement staffing and training programs, and manage policy updates, reporting, and certification status for personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university; substitution allowed on a year-for-year basis.
• 10 years of power plant or similar experience.
• 3 years of experience supervising technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel.
• Gas turbine experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct all O&M activities at the plant to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Ensure adequate manpower, tools, equipment and spare parts availability.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and power generation requirements.
• Oversee outages (planned and unplanned) and coordinate outage execution.
• Implement training and qualification programs for plant personnel.
• Review and update plant policies to reflect current operating requirements.
• Direct sourcing, screening and hiring of personnel as needed.
• Ensure certification status of affected personnel is current.
• Prepare client and utility reports, budgets and environmental QA/QC programs.
