Job summary

W3Global in Granite Falls, NC, is seeking a hands-on Plant Operations Manager for our wire drawing and annealing facility. You will lead safety, production, quality, staffing, maintenance, shipping and inventory to meet targets.

The role demands 8–10 years in wire drawing manufacturing and operations management, deep knowledge of processes and equipment, and proven leadership on the plant floor. You will drive continuous improvement, schedule production, monitor KPIs, and ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in wire drawing manufacturing and/or plant operations management.
• Strong working knowledge of wire drawing processes, equipment, and production operations.
• Experience leading manufacturing or plant operations.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and process optimization.
• Experience monitoring safety, quality, maintenance, inventory, and production performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well‑being of all plant associates and enforce safety policies.
• Oversee daily wire drawing and annealing operations to meet production, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Monitor machine utilization, downtime, scrap, and die consumption; drive continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing, training, and on‑site leadership across plant operations.
• Oversee maintenance and equipment reliability; coordinate with engineering on projects.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy; coordinate material requirements to support operations.
• Control production costs and support profitable operations.
