Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of all associates per company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee training for all production associates and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Manage manufacturing, inspection, testing, and release of products to shipping.
  • Evaluate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain machine uptime and production schedules for maximum productivity.
  • Oversee shipping/receiving accuracy and on-time delivery.

Granite Falls Furnace is a privately held Wire Drawing & Annealing company located in Granite Falls, NC, serving industrial clients with drawn steel and annealed wire products. Role Description
  • 1.Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all associates.Must follow all Corporate Safety protocols as well as all Local, State and Federal guidelines.
  • 2.Acceptable knowledge of all levels of Wire Drawing as specified in the Wire Drawers and Wire Drawing Leadman job descriptions.
  • 3.Responsible for all associates being properly trained.
  • 4.Responsible for ensuring all plant operational procedures are being followed.
  • 5.Responsible for the manufacture, final inspection, testing and release of completed product to the Shipping area.
  • 6.Responsible for the evaluation and disposition of non-conformities as well as the Corrective and Preventative actions.
  • 7.Responsible for the completion Preventative Maintenance and measured completion rate.
  • 8.Responsible for maintaining production machine uptime standards.
  • 9.Responsible for shipping and receiving activities on-time delivery / accuracy.
  • 10.Responsible for the scheduling of work to achieve maximum productivity.
  • 11.Ensure timely completion of engineering projects and equipment installations.
  • 12.Fiscal responsibility for costs incurred in the operation.
  • 13.Must continually seek and make recommendations to management as to how to improve the company’s overall plant operations.
  • 14.Must ensure that all production associates know, understand and adhere to all company policies and expectations.
  • 15.Responsible for meeting/exceeding all company goals relating to production, including but not limited to, machine efficiency and utilization, scrap control, die consumption, downtime reduction, etc. etc.
  • 16.Responsible for achieving/maintaining the necessary resource levels – staffing.
  • 17.Raw material inventory allocation and return to stock accuracy along with EOM inventories – rod, dies, lubricant etc., etc.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management, including production planning, process optimization, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • 8 - 10 years of previous \ current work experience in Wire Drawing manufacturing and operations management.
  • Ability to work on-site in Granite Falls, NC, with a hands-on approach to plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
