Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated’s French's Foods plant in Springfield, MO is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to oversee daily production and lead continuous improvement initiatives to position the site for long-term success.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will optimize equipment reliability, develop staffing and succession plans, manage operating and capital budgets, and build cross-functional relationships to meet customer demand while reducing waste and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years functional/leadership experience, including Department Manager level.
• Strong leadership with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and people.
• Knowledge of TPM methodologies.
• Understanding of how plant areas interact to contribute to the business.
• CPG industry experience and strong communication skills.
• Ability to influence and coach others in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations at the Springfield plant to optimize reliability and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using MHPS and TPM to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Develop staffing plans and succession to ensure robust leadership.
• Manage operating budgets and capital budgets; support cost containment.
• Foster cross-functional relationships with customers and vendors.
