Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global leader in flavor, seeks an Operations Manager II for our Hunt Valley, Maryland plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee daily production operations and drive continuous improvement using MHPS.

You will lead a 400+ person team, set strategic direction with the PLT, and develop staffing, budgets, and cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and safety.

Qualifications

• At least 8 year of relevant functional/leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience coordinating across plant areas to meet business goals.
• Strong industry awareness and commercial understanding.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and direct operational issues for assigned areas through Team Managers.
• Design strategies to improve reliability, efficiency, and productivity while reducing waste and costs.
• Create an empowered MHPS environment with clear goals and open communication.
• Develop cross-functional relationships to meet customer demand and maintain specs.
• Establish continuous improvement processes to maximize productivity, reliability, quality and safety.
• Oversee staffing, succession planning, and performance management; manage budgets.
