Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an Operations Superintendent to lead the safe and efficient operation of the facility, reporting to the Operations Manager or Plant Manager. You will supervise staff, enforce environmental and safety standards, and help develop operational strategies to enhance reliability and efficiency.

The role requires directing training, maintaining permits, and coordinating with management on plant procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
• Five years of supervisor experience in power plant or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of steam generating power plant operation and control.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety equipment and regulatory requirements.
• ASME QRO provisional license is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise operations staff to keep the facility clean, safe and efficient.
• Enforce company policies, procedures and environmental safety standards.
• Train shift personnel in safety, equipment use and operating procedures.
• Develop operational strategies to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain permits and ensure environmental compliance
• Prepare reports, operating procedures, and plant training materials.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with management during off-hours.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Five years of supervisor experience in power plant or manufacturing

Knowledge of operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plant

OSHA safety equipment familiarity

ASME QRO provisional license (qualifications)
