Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the Coatesville, PA facility, driving cost, quality and productivity in alignment with corporate objectives. You will manage the production team, coordinate schedules, and ensure OSHA and HR policies are followed to maintain safe, efficient operations.

The role requires overseeing asset use, quality initiatives, inventory management, data accuracy, and reporting.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience as a production manager or equivalent.
Forklift certification is required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge of shipping truck capacities.

Responsibilities

Oversee plant assets safeguarding and proper use.
Staff, develop, coach, and evaluate the production management team.
Develop/approve master production and shipping schedules; coordinate across shifts.
Assist in capital expenditure recommendations.
Set and monitor quality standards; lead quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure proper staffing to meet production goals; manage output and scrap.
Enter and verify production data in the system.
Coordinate inventory levels, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; month-end inventories.
Ensure yard layout supports efficient operations and OSHA compliance.
Monitor expenses and review P&L; take corrective actions as needed.
Lead Maintenance Department activities and safety committee involvement.
Prepare required reports and perform other duties.
