McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global spice and flavor leader, seeks a full-time Safety & Risk Manager at the Hunt Valley Plant in Hunt Valley, MD. The role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on developing robust site safety plans and promoting a strong health and safety culture across the site.

The position requires at least 6 years of operational experience, preferably in the food industry, with safety certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, safety and environmental (HSE) issues and guidance.
• Ability to facilitate risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Experience generating safety metrics and reports for management.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on health, safety and environmental issues to promote a positive culture.
• Advise on HSE design and use of plant and equipment.
• Facilitate risk assessments and ensure actioning of recommendations.
• Identify training needs and deliver related training.
• Monitor incidents and take appropriate actions.
• Generate safety reports for operations and corporate reporting.
• Conduct safety inspections and recommend improvements.
• Maintain records in compliance with legislation and policy.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on safety matters.
• Audit and improve HSE systems and procedures to ensure compliance.
