Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft seeks an Assistant Plant Manager, Operations to lead manufacturing development and optimize production, safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role oversees budgets, tooling, and continuous improvement across the plant, ensuring clear communication with supervisors and technicians.

You will drive performance, develop high‑performing teams, and coordinate with engineering and other departments on rate changes and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 12 years of related experience with minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience.
  • Proficient at maintaining budgets and cost effectiveness; interprets financial reports and takes appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues.
  • Skilled at coordinating multiple efforts, organizing and prioritizing work, communicating technical issues, and leading a team of individuals with differing levels of skill and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the overall manufacturing development strategy for areas under ownership and ensures operations standards are met for safety, quality, delivery, waste reduction, and cost.
  • Communicates company vision and goals to improve quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
  • Ensures safety standards are met and corrects unsafe acts.
  • Coordinates tool, process, and facilities planning with design or rate change implementations.
  • Directs implementation and execution of Operations policies and practices.
  • Recommends and implements strategic changes in Operations strategy.
