Job summary

Precision Castparts in Douglas, GA is seeking an Area Manager to lead designated manufacturing departments, drive production schedules, and ensure quality, reliability and on‑time delivery at the lowest cost.

You will delegate authority, mentor a supervision team, and apply Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and Six Sigma techniques to improve performance. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
10+ years of experience in operations in a manufacturing environment.
Extensive training in manufacturing processes, supervision, and operations management.

Responsibilities

Manage manufacturing operations for designated departments.
Ensure achievement of production requirements, quality and on‑time delivery at lowest cost.
Delegate authority to Engineering, IS and Purchasing to drive results using Lean methods.
Lead supervision team including hiring, evaluations, and talent development.
Develop annual operating budgets and production schedules.
Control cost, throughput, and work‑in‑process inventory to meet targets.
Ensure safety and adherence to Cardinal Rules of Safety.
