Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years lead supervisory experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
• Manufacturing supervision experience, preferably with large teams.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• PC proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets and Lotus email systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production team members and ensure efficient, safe operations.
• Train, assign, direct, and appraise performance of team members.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering for repairs and improvements.
• Ensure 5S, quality at the source, and proper materials handling.
• Monitor labor utilization and reassign staff to meet demand and budgets.
• Maintain records and communicate issues to production management.
