Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Plant Operations Manager for the Windsor, CT site to lead and motivate the site-based teams, directing safety, quality, and performance in a demanding manufacturing setting.

You will drive all site operations, including budgeting, cost control, and regulatory compliance (ISO, FDA), collaborate with the Commercial Team, and report to the Regional Director of Operations.

This role requires strong Lean experience and a track record of multi-site cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on business management, sciences and/or finance/HR.
• 10+ years of Operations Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), quality registrations (ISO14001 / ISO9001 / ISO13485) and FDA regulations for medical device contract manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage broad spectrum manufacturing facilities in a capital intensive environment.
• Proven ability to manage cost control and inventory management for multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring a safe work environment at all times for employees and visitors, meeting legislative requirements.
• Provide leadership and resources to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with Commercial Team to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Manage site resources for efficient use of cash, materials, labor, equipment, and natural resources.
• Ensure site operates in an environmentally responsible manner and meets regulatory requirements.
• Support strategic development of the site in coordination with the General Manager of the Industrial Business Unit.
• Oversee site operating costs including budgeting, reforecasts, and monthly reporting.
• Develop Human Resources within the sites, including training and succession planning.
• Promote Risk Management and timely maintenance of risk profiles per policy.
