Job summary

EnerSys in Springfield, MO, seeks a seasoned production/operations leader to direct and optimize manufacturing activities, drive cost controls, and ensure on-time customer order fulfillment. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, sales and quality, champion safety, and develop teams through servant leadership while implementing EnerSys Operating System.

Experience in Lean environments, strong software skills (Word/Excel/SAP/PowerPoint) and a Bachelor's in management or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent AND seven to ten years related management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous manufacturing management experience preferred.
• Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Fundamental keyboarding skills and ability to understand various software programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP, and PowerPoint are required.

Responsibilities

• Confers with executive management to establish production and quality control standards, budget, and cost controls; obtain data on products, quantities, specs, and delivery dates.
• Plans and directs facility operation activities and production priorities for products with cost factors in mind.
• Coordinates production with procurement, maintenance, and quality control for optimal utilization of resources.
