The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management with 10+ years in manufacturing, including 4+ in supervision, and possess strong leadership, cost-control, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, labor relations, and cost controls.
• Proven ability to assess, develop and manage personnel.
• Strong communication, motivation and leadership across all levels.
• Excellent analytical and multitasking abilities; strategic direction.
• PC literate with proficiency in spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly at optimum costs with quality standards.
• Plans to meet delivery dates with minimal WIP and efficient use of resources.
• Implements cost, scrap, rework and extra work reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls quality, production costs, inventory, shipping and receiving.
• Coordinates schedules with sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Oversees maintenance, safety, security and plant operations.
• Leads labor relations and union-related activities where applicable.
• Develops and approves personnel decisions and rate changes.
• Communicates directives to the shop floor.
