Job summary

North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for the Janitorial Products Plant. You will oversee production planning, scheduling, and administration while ensuring safety and quality control of raw materials and finished products.

Qualifications

• Must possess prior supervisory/managerial experience in a production-based manufacturing setting.
• Must demonstrate experience in manufacturing, production scheduling, production management, and inventory management.
• Must possess experience in procuring raw materials for the production process.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Apps: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
• Experience with NCFS (North Carolina Finance System).
• Communication skills with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning and scheduling; manage administration of the plant operations.
• Develop and implement plant safety programs and quality control for raw materials and finished products.
• Communicate daily with customers, vendors, subordinates, and supervisors to adjust production/delivery schedules and resolve issues.
• Conduct extensive chemical and physical testing of materials and products as required.
