Job summary

Granite Construction Company in California seeks an experienced leader to develop, manage, and optimize profitable construction materials operations, including aggregates and hot mix asphalt environments.

You will plan budgets, oversee plant maintenance, lead a team, ensure safety compliance, and drive cost control while maintaining quality and on-time delivery. A Bachelor's in Engineering and 10+ years in construction materials with 5+ years in supervision are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Civil), Construction Management or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 10+ years work experience in a construction materials environment; 5+ years in management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise plant workers for aggregates and HMA to ensure profitability.
• Estimate material costs from plans to support quotes.
• Determine manpower, inventory, equipment, and schedules for optimal plant operation.
• Develop and manage P&L budgets for material operations.
