Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of construction materials field experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of materials business.
• Experience with Hot Mix Asphalt Plants.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to establish relationships with agencies and represent Granite.
• Strong public speaking and ability to communicate with management.
• Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide plant oversight for cost and engineering activities.
• Facilitate efficient progress of plant operations.
• Assure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Lead preparation of annual operating budgets.
• Analyze and design capital improvement projects.
• Develop and analyze efficiency reports.
• Facilitate solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Perform and deliver tailgate safety meetings.
• Continuously evaluate rolling stock utilization and operational management.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and oversee daily production and loadout test results.
• Ensure product specifications are met for all products sold from facilities.
• Work with industry experts on business-critical issues and committee work as needed.
