Job summary

TapeMaster is seeking a Senior Operations Leader to direct our Shelby Township, MI manufacturing site. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while owning financial performance and strategic initiatives across production, maintenance, and process engineering.

The role emphasizes leadership development, accountability, and collaboration with HR for staffing and team growth, as well as optimizing capacity in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and accountability with financial discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong CNC machining, job shop, tooling, setup reduction, and shop-floor problem-solving experience.
• Experience with P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cost drivers, and variance analysis.
• ERP or Plex experience for scheduling, labor reporting, purchasing, inventory, and job-cost visibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tapemaster Troy manufacturing operations and culture.
• Ensure safety as the priority, quality, on-time delivery, and employee engagement.
• Own plant financial performance including revenue and margin forecasts, budget support, and capital planning.
• Oversee CNC machining operations, programming support, setup, cycle-time improvement, and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost savings aligned with budgets and commitments.
• Support quoting, order review, supplier coordination, new product development, and program launches.
• Coach and develop the operations team and collaborate with HR on staffing and performance.
• Communicate priorities and results to employees, leadership, customers, and suppliers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
