Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, leading production, maintenance, quality, and plant staff to meet customer requirements and financial targets. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a Michigan facility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in plant operations, a Bachelor’s degree or related experience, and strong skills in lean practices, ERP/MRP systems, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or plant operations experience with leadership.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Lead supervisors and employees; enforce policies and drive performance.
• Maintain a safe environment; enforce procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor production output, labor, equipment performance; implement efficiency improvements.
• Ensure products meet specs; support corrective actions for defects.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Manage plant operating expenses and budgets.
• Identify and implement Lean and 5S improvements.
• Coordinate with purchasing/logistics to ensure inventory availability.
• Report KPIs to senior management.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve issues.
