Job summary

ADP is seeking a Senior Site Leader for Tapemaster Troy manufacturing operations in Shelby Township, MI. You will own safety culture, on-time delivery, quality and financial performance, while guiding a high-mix, low-volume production environment.

Leading CNC machining operations and continuous improvement initiatives, you will collaborate with HR on staffing and development, drive cost savings, and ensure customer satisfaction through strong leadership and disciplined operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site leader for Tapemaster Troy, focusing on safety, culture, delivery, quality and P&L.

• Own plant financial performance including revenue, margin forecasts, budgeting and labor forecasting.
• Lead CNC machining operations, programming support, setup and cycle-time improvement.
• Oversee daily production in a high-mix, low-volume environment balancing priorities and schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement and deliver cost savings to meet budgets.
• Support quoting, order review, supplier coordination and program launches.
• Lead and coach the operations team with HR partnerships on staffing, training and performance.
• Communicate priorities and results to employees, leadership, customers and suppliers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Leads all Tapemaster Troy manufacturing operations with full responsibility for safety, culture, customer delivery, quality, continuous improvement, and P&L performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serve as the responsible site leader for Tapemaster Troy, reinforcing safety as “the priority”, quality and the quality management system, on-time delivery, employee engagement, teamwork, leadership development, and accountability.
• Maintain a clean, professional facility and equipment presentation for employees and customers.
• Own plant financial performance, including revenue and margin forecasts, budget support, capital planning, and labor forecasting to support customer demand.
• Lead CNC machining operations, programming support, setup, cycle-time improvement, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.
• Oversee daily production in a high-mix, low-volume machining environment, balancing customer priorities, executable schedules, capacity, setup reduction, quality, and profitable execution.
• Drive continuous improvement across site operations and deliver cost savings that support identified budget and financial commitments.
• Support quoting, order review, supplier coordination, subcontractor performance, new product development, and program launch.
• Lead, coach, and hold the operations team accountable while partnering with Human Resources on staffing, training, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and skill development.
• Communicate priorities, results, and expectations to employees, leadership, customers, and suppliers as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Tapemaster Troy Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications / Experience / Education

• Core competencies include leadership, accountability, sound judgment, communication, problem solving, financial discipline, continuous improvement, customer focus, and the ability to develop people and teams.
• Physical requirements include regular time on the production floor, standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to safely access manufacturing equipment and work areas as needed.
• Agree to follow and enforce the Employee Handbook and pass required pre-employment screening.
• Communicate effectively with employees, peers, leadership, customers, and suppliers.
• Associate’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or Business preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 7–-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including plant-level responsibility for production teams, results, and financial performance.
• Strong CNC machining, job shop, tooling, fixtures, setup reduction, routings, and shop-floor problem-solving experience.
• Working knowledge of P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, cost drivers, capital justification, and variance analysis.
• ERP or job-management system experience for scheduling, labor reporting, purchasing, inventory, shipping, and job-cost visibility; Plex preferred.
• Experience supporting quality systems, corrective action, customer requirements, and controlled manufacturing documentation.
