Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations across our power tools facilities. You will drive manufacturing excellence, staffing plans, safety culture, and KPI management to meet production goals. This role requires cross-functional leadership and a focus on data-driven improvements.

You will build an agile, cross-trained workforce, manage budgets, and mentor teams while maintaining Milwaukee Tool's core values. Occasional travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Technology or related area.
• 5 years’ experience leading operations and a diverse workforce, including 2+ years in plant management.
• Experience or certification in Lean/Six Sigma, inventory management/planning, and/or project management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills: motivate, coach, and drive results.
• Proven ability to balance daily objectives with strategic improvement projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant readiness to support manufacturing operations.
• Develop staffing and training plans for the plant.
• Build and maintain a safe, efficient plant culture aligned with company values.
• Develop KPIs and manage them to meet or exceed goals.
• Plan and manage the plant budget to maintain financial health.
• Ensure on-time production and supply continuity; manage logistics.
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute plans with safety, quality, service, and cost goals.
• Identify gaps and optimize processes and flow across the value stream.
• Implement 5S, Gemba walks, and data-driven decision-making.
• Plan capacity, space, skilled labor, and new product development.
• Oversee hiring, training, and mentoring; provide feedback and growth opportunities.
