Job summary

California Department of Public Health (CDPH) seeks a Plant Operations Stationary Engineer to maintain and repair heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and other building systems at the Richmond Campus in Contra Costa County.

You will work under the Chief Engineer II, possibly supervise other staff, coordinate with contractors, and benefit from on-site work with opportunities for advance pay differentials and certifications.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
• Medical Clearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, ventilation, lighting, power, and other mechanical systems.
• Instruct and/or lead other Stationary Engineers, Maintenance Mechanics, Building Maintenance Workers, and Service Assistants; may direct contractors.
• Support the Chief Engineer II in daily operations and project work.
