Qualifications

• MUST have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in heavy manufacturing; co-op considered.
• Experience with mechanical systems, drawings, specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop long and short-range goals for modernization and annual budget.
• Maintain mechanical systems, drawings, and equipment specs.
• Lead projects for mechanical system development, procurement and installation.
• Manage downturn projects including contractor resources and union workforce.
• Provide design guidance for rotating equipment, piping, vessels and conveyors.
• Flag risks to production and advise on reliability improvements.
• Review preventative maintenance data and adjust frequency as needed.
• Lead predictive tech: NDE/NDT, oil analysis, vibration, thermography, ultrasonics and motor analysis.
• Perform root cause analyses for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support Shift Supervisors and craft personnel with troubleshooting.
