Job summary

CapstoneONE Search is seeking a Plant Mechanical Engineer for a globally prominent manufacturing organization to support operations, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant growth initiatives. The role emphasizes CAD-based layouts, machine design, and project engineering with cross-functional collaboration across operations, maintenance, EHS, and leadership. The successful candidate will take projects from concept through installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment with capital projects or facility expansion.
• Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software for plant layouts and equipment design.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings, piping layouts, and machine specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CAD drawings for plant layouts, equipment placement, production cells, machinery, utilities, piping, structural components, and expansion projects.
• Design and support modifications to manufacturing equipment, tooling, and plant infrastructure based on production needs and safety considerations.
• Lead capital projects from concept through installation and implementation, coordinating with operations, maintenance, EHS, contractors, and suppliers.
• Evaluate proposals and technical specifications to determine feasibility and develop effective design solutions.
