Job Summary
The Plant Engineer will oversee the production facility by leading technicians, training personnel, leading/managing projects, troubleshooting, repairing, installing and modifying mechanical, pneumatic and electrical equipment; Including PLC, DCS and multiple systems.

Leadership

- Attract, retain, develop and mentor key talent within the plant.
- Work directly with plant leadership and operations personnel to quickly address breakdowns, repairs, schedule PM’s, etc.
- Manage plant projects, capital projects, and project budgets.
- Communicate effectively with plant management, engineering, and operations about maintenance and capital project requirements
- Grow, sustain, and own competent and complete maintenance spares inventory.
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
Safety
- Keep Safety in the forefront of all team’s thinking and approach to work.
- Ensure safe work environment and well-organized facility.
- Ensure safety rules without exception.
Quality
- Ensure success of production and maintenance departments.
- Support and lead for low levels of unplanned machine downtime.
Financial Management
- Own plant capital list and CAR system for the facility.
- Oversee maintenance spend and adhere to budget.
Customer Focus
- Lead Maintenance team to safely, quickly, and effectively complete tasks with a customer centered approach, to minimize downtime and negative impacts on service levels to customers.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering. Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Instinctive servant leader and evidence of success
- 7+ years of managerial experience
- Advanced technical knowledge with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience managing CAPEX projects & budgets between $5k - $5M+
- Ability to read, sketch and understand mechanical, piping and electrical drawings.
- Must be “hands on” with eager desire to get dirty and lead by example.
