Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Plant Maintenance/Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair aggregate plant equipment at our Kentucky sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, welding, fabrication, and operate cranes and power tools as needed, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires ability to read and write, work in outdoor environments, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Training and new-hire orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical knowledge and be able to read and write effectively.
• Ability to communicate over radio and with hand signals to coordinate with coworkers.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose issues with stationary plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, shakers, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and welding equipment as needed.
• Order parts and document maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
