Job summary

Martin Marietta in Texas is seeking a plant maintenance mechanic responsible for inspecting, diagnosing issues, and performing preventative maintenance on aggregate plant equipment, including stationary machinery, conveyors, pumps and gearboxes.

The role involves welding, fabrication, cutting and grinding, as well as operating cranes, hoists and power tools. Candidates must maintain a safe work environment and be able to work 8–12 hour shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose issues quickly.
• Experience with fabricating, welding and metalworking is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; related training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose equipment issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair stationary equipment, conveyors, pumps and gearboxes.
• Operate cranes, hoists and hand/power tools; maintain safe work areas.
