Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Manager Materials-Plant in Fraser, MI to lead supply chain management programs and systems for efficient movement of inventory. You will oversee material handling, scheduling, data integrity, and transportation while driving cost effectiveness and process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years in materials management within manufacturing, with at least 2 years in scheduling distribution to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of materials management in manufacturing.
• 2+ years scheduling and distribution experience in Tier 1/2 environment.
• Experience forecasting materials and inventory optimization.
• Solid knowledge of ERP/PLEX systems and inventory software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills across all management levels and customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities; Kaizen/lean familiarity.
• Experience in a union environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage material handling team: training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining.
• Develop plans to meet SCM objectives: delivery, inventory accuracy, cost control.
• Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, analyze variances and take corrective actions.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling systems, and resources optimization.
• Ensure safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
• Build relationships with trading partners and manage data integrity.
• Maintain safe and compliant work environment; oversee data integrity and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with trading partners and drive continuous improvement.
