Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Plant Manager in the United States to plan, direct and coordinate all operations. You will lead a team of managers and supervisors, drive efficiency, profitability and safety, and work with corporate staff to meet business objectives.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of manufacturing/machining experience in automotive settings and a proven track record in production planning, budgeting and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, manufacturing or related field.
• 5+ years progressive leadership experience within an automotive/manufacturing environment.
• Solid and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, daily operations, material handling, quality criteria, safety and HR issues.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others at all levels of management and with customers.
• Strong planning, organizational and analytical abilities to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Prior Lean Kaizen manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of action plans to achieve the business plan.
• Coordinate with corporate staff to allocate resources for objectives.
• Plan and direct manufacturing activities with safety, standards, and performance metrics.
• Determine staffing, shifts, schedules, and machinery needs.
• Promote accident-free culture and ensure compliance with EHS systems.
• Analyze production capacity and determine labor hours and machine usage.
• Manage Facility Staff with responsibility for Operations associates.
• Provide technical leadership for new product/process development and retooling.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and clear specs.
• Review financial statements and use data to improve profitability.
• Prepare and control operational budgets and strategic financial planning.
• Demonstrate 5S and Lean principles in daily duties.
• Maintain attention to detail and readiness to take extra steps to complete tasks.
