Job summary

Metz Strategic Solutions seeks a Plant Manager for a Manufacturing Plant in the Reading PA area. The role leads a ~400-person organization, drives budgets, operating plans, and strategic plans, and guides Lean initiatives to boost safety, productivity, quality, and delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong financial background, solid Lean expertise, and a hands-on leadership style aimed at developing other leaders and sustaining a results-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a BS in Engineering or Business Related Degree; MBA preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge with kaizen events including 5S/6S, TPM, SMED, Standard Work, Kanbans.
• Strong financial acumen and full P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Plant leadership team and all employees (~400 staff).
• Develop yearly budgets, operating plans, and 3–5 year strategic plans.
• Identify and scope continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, productivity/cost, quality, delivery and morale.
• Communicate with Plant monthly and hold weekly staff meetings to track commitments.
• Lead safety initiatives and model safety as a priority in all actions.
• Develop future leaders and build the team with one-on-one coaching.
