Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client in the food manufacturing sector seeks a Plant Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across the facility, guiding production, maintenance, quality assurance, safety, and continuous improvement.

You will develop a high‑performance culture, mentor departmental leaders, and drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize safety, quality, and efficiency. Relocation to Milford, DE is fully supported to enable a smooth transition.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience as an area manager, high-level superintendent, or current plant manager in the meat industry, preferably poultry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong leadership history and track record managing large-scale operations.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for manufacturing departments within the facility.
• Oversee production, maintenance, quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering functions.
• Drive safety initiatives, ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and mentor departmental leaders, fostering a high-performance culture and talent pipeline.
