Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. seeks a Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of a sand and gravel operation, reporting to the Area Production Manager.

You will lead safety, site planning, mine development, quality control and maintenance functions to ensure safe, efficient production. Responsibilities include asset protection, financial evaluation, budgeting, cost control, environmental and community relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mining or Civil) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of plant management experience, preferably in the mining industry.
• Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and strong safety commitment.
• Dredge operator experience is required.
• Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meet safety standards and production requirements at the plant.
• Lead safety, health and environmental programs and policies.
• Plan and schedule plant activities including production and training.
• Manage cost goals, budgets and forecasts for the plant.
• Coordinate mining plan development and process improvements.
