Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Production Operations to oversee daily operations of the production department, including quarry, production, and maintenance areas.

The role involves supervising hourly staff, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with the Plant Manager on scheduling, repairs, and preventive programs, develop teams, conduct performance reviews, and manage costs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining or related field preferred.
• 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, mining, aggregates, or related industry.
• Experience in Crushing and Shipping operations.
• Knowledgeable in MSHA regulations and compliance.
• Proficient computer skills; JDE experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily production operations and maintenance activities.
• Schedules repairs and supports preventative maintenance programs.
• Monitors production and QC standards and initiates corrective actions.
• Ensures safety compliance with company and regulatory rules through inspections.
• Develops and mentors self-directed work teams.
• Manages staffing, performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Coordinates staffing with Plant Manager to safely operate the plant.
• Prepares profit plans, AFEs, market analyses and reports for approval.
