Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Manager II to lead an aggregate production facility in Pueblo, CO. You will oversee crushing, washing, and screening operations, drive safety culture, and manage budgets and CAPEX for plant upgrades.

You will ensure product quality meets ASTM/DOT specs and coordinate with QC and sales to meet demand. The role requires 7+ years in aggregate operations, including 3+ years in supervision, with strong MSHA knowledge and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Aggregate Operations, with at least 3 years in a Supervisory or Management capacity, is preferred.
• MSHA compliance and regulations.
• Knowledgeable of aggregate processing equipment and pit design.
• Knowledgeable of welding, repairs, and maintenance of mobile processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce MSHA, state and company safety regulations; lead by example to achieve Zero Harm.
• Maintain environmental permits and records and ensure compliance with laws.
• Oversee daily crushing, washing, and screening operations and optimize flows for highest Tons Per Hour.
• Develop short- and long-term mining plans including stripping and pit development.
• Coordinate with QC to meet ASTM and DOT specs and address quality complaints.
• Manage operating budget with focus on cost-per-ton and efficiency improvements.
• Participate in CAPEX planning and installation of new equipment upgrades.
• Supervise and mentor production supervisors and hourly staff; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Serve as the primary Martins Marietta representative to community, landowners, and inspectors.
