Job summary

Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Plant Manager for its Warren, OH site to lead overall plant operations. You will drive safety, lean initiatives, productivity, and quality while managing costs and ensuring reliable performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a technical field preferred.
• Strong labor relations experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Results-driven, entrepreneurial leader with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
• Develops and executes operating plans for current and upcoming months, proactively identifying risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Builds a performance-based culture focused on accountability, safety, metrics, and operational excellence.
• Provides clear organizational direction and communication aligned with corporate goals, objectives, and vision across all plant departments.
• Reviews daily operating reports to resolve manufacturing, maintenance, and operational issues while minimizing costs and preventing delays.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve day-to-day issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Formulates and implements production policies and programs impacting scheduling, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Leads new manufacturing initiatives by applying lean principles, optimizing resources, and improving production systems and processes.
• Hires, coaches, develops, and evaluates employees to ensure strong leadership, high morale, teamwork, and positive labor relations.
• Delegates work effectively while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
