Job summary

Advantage Label & Packaging, a UFPI Packaging Company, is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and related departments to meet cost, profit, and productivity goals. You will develop production schedules, coordinate with other areas, and forecast production requirements for the company.

You will lead the production team, ensure training, monitor efficiency and quality, and drive continuous improvement while managing inventories and safety compliance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum three years as production supervisor or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Formulates long and short-range business plans and goals.
• Ensure plant assets are properly managed and safeguarded.
• Staffs operations to meet production levels with cost objectives.
• Ensures employees are properly trained.
• Lead and motivate production teams and supervisors to meet timelines cost-effectively.
• Coaches and develops subordinates, evaluates performance, and initiates corrective action.
• Establishes work center operation efficiency standards.
• Monitors performance to efficiency and quality standards and initiates corrective actions.
• Ensures safety and housekeeping align with company standards.
• Monitors expenses, inventories, and coordinates outside services as needed.
• Analyzes production operations and workflow for improvements.
• Manages inventory and participates in month-end inventory.
• Maintains machinery and orders supplies; approves timecards and incentives.
• Manages finished goods packaging and prepares required reports.
• Participates in Safety Committee and ensures OSHA compliance.
