Job summary

Silgan Closures is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager for our Hazleton, PA facility. You will oversee operations spanning production, maintenance, quality, materials, HR, and finance to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Lead safety culture and drive continuous improvement. The role requires a minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership, strong business acumen, and experience with union relations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations experience in manufacturing.
• Strong business acumen with ability to manage P&L performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, materials, and HR to meet safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost targets.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to position the plant as a cost-effective, high-performing producer.
• Establish and manage budgets, cost controls, and continuous improvement programs.
• Drive a results-oriented management culture by defining accountabilities and monitoring performance.
• Partner with Quality and Procurement to ensure materials meet customer requirements.
• Foster collaboration and open communication; support cross-functional teamwork.
• Support food safety and product safety systems within the plant.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Operations leadership.
